Description:
The artist, who has been developing a coherent research in the field of abstract art for many years, exhibits a series of recent mixed techniques on canvas and wood, in which he elaborates combinations of blacks, reds and blues with gold leaf: in these works, Bianchi's research addresses new visual suggestions, through experimentation that through the use of poor and recovered materials - newspapers, posters, stucco, plastics, fabrics - reaches new interpretations of the pictorial surface.
Marco Bianchi was born in Pescia (Pt) in 1944. He lives and works in Lido di Camaiore (Lu). Graduated from the State Institute of Art Stagio Stagi in Pietrasanta (Lu), he has held personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad since 1964, earning numerous prizes and awards. In 1974 he was reported on the Comanducci Yearbook.
The exhibition is part of the twelfth edition of the Ritrovare la Bellezza event, organized by the Cultural Committee 'Borgo di genere' of Pieve a Elici in synergy with the Parishes of Pieve a Elici, Montigiano and Gualdo and sponsored by the Municipality of Massarosa .
