White Carrara from June 13 to September 28, 2025 celebrates design with exhibitions, installations, talks, events, guided tours. An entire summer in which the historic center of Carrara is transformed into a dynamic exhibition space and open-air creative laboratory, a place of dialogue and comparison between designers, architects, artists, artisans and companies, where art and design can merge and generate new perspectives.
Design Here and Now is the theme of 2025 of White Carrara, an event directed by Domenico Raimondi – thesignlab, which focuses on contemporaneity, involving designers who will give rise to new, original works from marble. An edition that develops in continuity with the 2024 event, changing paradigm: last year the design objects made of marble in Carrara in the past were enhanced, this year the designers will try their hand at works conceived and designed specifically for the event, giving value to a material and a historical process that over the centuries has been an inspiration to many international artists and today evolves into innovation and research.
Art and tradition are combined with robotics that have now become a fundamental tool in marble processing.
