Baptized by the Targa Tenco as best first work for "At about one and thirty five", Capossela's career is full of acknowledgments to the literary, musical and creative value of his very rich production, so indebted to cinema and literature (Céline, Fante, Melville, Homer, Wilde ...): four Tenco plates, twice the Lunezia Award, the Fernanda Pivano Prize, the Piero Ciampi Prize, the De André Award for Lifetime Achievement. In June 2017 The Sunday Times inserts the album "Everywhere you Protect" among the thirty best records of world music, saying of Vinicio who "sings like Tom Waits, writes as Ovid".
