On Monday, August 18, 2025, at 9:00 PM,
at the Galleria Europa on the Europa 41 seafront in Lido di Camaiore (LU),
"Paesaggi sospesi," a solo exhibition by painter Guido Morelli, opens. The exhibition features a series of oil paintings on canvas created between 2020 and 2025.
These refined works, with a material imprint, depict synthetic natural landscapes. However, these are not evocations of real places, but rather compositions in which the focus is on the search for a form based on an interplay of correspondences and a balance of spaces.
Morelli's painting is "mental," accentuating the dimension of memory: the artist focuses on a psychological language of painting, distancing himself from descriptive aspects and aiming for a pure fusion of color and luminosity.
Guido Morelli—born in La Spezia in 1967, but a longtime resident of the province of Piacenza—has an extensive exhibition history, with numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy and abroad.
Among the most significant accolades for his painting are the acquisition of large-scale works by the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa in 1998 and the MIM Museum in Motion in Castello di San Pietro in Cerro (Piacenza) in 2008.
The exhibition, organized by the Mercurio Arte Contemporanea gallery in Viareggio in collaboration with the Municipality of Camaiore, is accompanied by a catalog with a critical essay by Marco Del Monte.
It will be open until Sunday, September 7, 2025,
daily from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
