Description:
Negrita - the band dates back to the second half of the eighties, but it is only in the early nineties that it takes on the name by which it is still known today. So tells NewsMusica.
Their first album came out in 1994, driven by a strong impact single like Cambio. The real success for the Tuscan band, however, comes only in the second half of the nineties.
In February 1997 their third album, XXX, was released, also presented in stadiums as the opening band at Ligabue's concerts. A song on this record, I learned to dream, then gets a great deal of resonance for the inclusion in the film Three men and a leg by Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, bringing the album to platinum status.
The successful collaboration with the comic trio continues with the following film So è la vita, whose soundtrack bears the signature of the Negrita.
The film also features the single Mama maé, the first single from the 1999 album Reset.
This album marks the partial abandonment of pure alternative rock for electronic music, and the turning point is appreciated by fans.
