Located on a rocky promontory peak above the sea, at the limits of a basin intensely cultivated with vineyards, this small village, more connected to the land than to the sea, is agriculturally oriented and presents an urban type similar to the rural centres of the hinterland. The San Pietro Church is one of the most interesting gothic monuments of Liguria and the Cinque Terre. It was built in 1334 on the remains of an XI century chapel and was then done up. Inside, baroque superpositions can be found.
